mural – sliding scale

Sliding Scale Window Painting for Small Businesses

I offer a flexible, sliding scale program for small businesses that want hand-painted window art /signage but may not have a big marketing budget. Whether you’re just getting started or holding things down with limited resources, I want to make art accessible to you.

As an artist and child of refugees, I know firsthand what it means to start with very little and still build something meaningful—it takes heart and hustle. Supporting other small businesses, especially those rooted in community, matters to me.

Window Painting

I paint directly on storefront glass using high-quality interior paint (often Behr) and Posca paint markers. Each design is tailored to your space, vibe, or season. I reuse and stretch materials whenever I can to keep costs low.

Common requests:

  • Seasonal or holiday themes
  • Sale and event announcements
  • Custom illustrations or brand graphics
  • Evergreen designs that stay up for months

If there’s residue from cleaning solutions or window films, it may need to be wiped down beforehand so the paint adheres properly.

Murals

I paint indoor and outdoor murals using high-quality paints suited for your surface. Designs can range from simple and welcoming to bold and colorful—whatever best fits your space and message.

Examples:

  • Studio, shop, or accent walls
  • Outdoor or public-facing murals
  • Inspiring quotes or abstract designs
  • Custom illustrations, florals, or icons

We’ll walk through concept, sketches, and timeline together. Larger murals may require multiple days based on surface prep and drying time.If there’s residue from cleaning solutions or window films, it may need to be wiped down beforehand so the paint adheres properly.

Hand-Painted Signs

I create custom signs by hand on wood, canvas, foam board, or other durable surfaces.

Great for:

  • Welcome signs
  • Vendor booths or pop-ups
  • Menus, specials, or directional signage
  • Event signage (weddings, showers, markets)

I can help with layout, fonts, and colors, and I also offer blueprint or design drafts if needed. We’ll walk through concept, sketches, and timeline together if you’d like. Larger murals may require multiple days based on surface prep and drying time. If there’s residue from cleaning solutions or window films, it may need to be wiped down beforehand so the paint adheres properly.

Custom Signs & Banners (Framed, Freestanding, or Fabric)

This is my most involved signage option, combining handmade construction, custom design, and a full setup that I build and finish myself. Whether you want a soft, draped banner or a solid freestanding sign, I’ll create something display-ready for your event or space.

Popular formats include:

  • Fabric banners (linen or canvas) with bows, ties, or raw edges
  • Freestanding wood-framed banners for weddings or showers
  • Sandwich boards and A-frame signs (constructed and lettered by me)
  • Tabletop or wall-mounted signs
  • Event signage for menus, welcome areas, or photo booths

I design and assemble everything by hand. Some signs use vinyl lettering for a clean look, others are fully hand-painted—depending on the style and surface I choose based on your needs.

Because of the time, materials, and tools involved, this offering has a minimum of $100. That includes a full piece—like a fabric sign with bows and a handmade wooden stand, or a constructed A-frame with custom lettering. From there, I’ll adjust the design to fit your budget and event. This option falls under my sliding scale, but because of the time, tools, and materials involved, there is a minimum of $100. From there, I’ll work with your budget to build something meaningful and well-made. You can also bundle your sign with a reusable frame or stand if you’d like a full setup.

🕒 Timing
Most window and sign projects are completed in 1 day to minimize disruption.
Murals and multi-layered designs may take 2–3 days depending on complexity and drying time.

💸 Pay What You Can
You choose what fits your budget. Here’s how your support helps:

  • $50 covers basic materials like fresh markers or small brushes
  • $100 helps restock paint and surfaces
  • $150+ supports full storefront or multi-surface work

Your payment also covers planning, sketching, measuring, scaling, and printing blueprints. I do everything myself—your contribution directly supports my time and tools.

Pay below- your contributions are appreiciated!

(no fee if you do not mark as good or service)

🧽 Removal Info (for windows only)
Most folks handle removal themselves—it’s simple and doesn’t require special tools. Just spray the window with water, let it soak, and use a plastic joint knife (never metal) to gently lift the paint.

I don’t include removal in the base price, but I encourage you to give it a try. If you’d prefer me to take care of it, I offer removal service for a flat $80.
